Ancestral Hunting Estates - the finest dining
The hunts take place in the private estates of the French Aristocracy. You'll stay in their Chateaux and experience the splendour of the old families.
Arriving on a Friday, you'll settle into your Chateau and relax with your guests, perhaps take on some shooting practice and families yourself with the weapons you'll be using. Saturday morning you'll be served a Hunters Breakfast before heading to the hunting grounds to choose starting position. Lunch is served usual in the forest and dinner on the Saturday prepared and served in the Chateau by our chefs where you'll experience fine dining and wines from the very best that France can offer. Regaling through-out the evening on the hunt exploits of the day over ancient ports, cognacs and champagne, you'll collapse into your room ready for the Sunday!
The Thrill of the Hunt
The Boar are in their natural environment. It's their forest you're in. Although you'll be placed on Miradors (Raised Platforms), expect to be mobile as we follow the dogs on the Hunt
The Houndsmen Await
A typical hunt involves packs of in excess of 40 dogs driving the boar through your lines. The lineage of the pack is as old as the hunting grounds you'll be stood in and they love what they do!
